They say we are the sum of the decisions that we make. Although for some of us, things work out, others do not get quite as lucky. At any rate, the bad and good both define the individual we end up becoming. Talk is cheap, so make it count for your actions! If you still don’t know who you are and what you want to be, don’t worry, because soon enough, you’re sure to find out. At the time, the smallest choices may seem inconsequential, but they can have crucial and long-lasting impacts on our lives. When you read about this young couple who ended up buying a Scottish manor by accident, we might be able to convince you of this.

Young Couple Who Ended Up Buying A Mansion By Accident
Making Mistakes
The young people who are in love with each other are Claire Segeren and Cal Hunter. They had a whole year together when Claire decided to give up med school for one year. The two decided to buy a house at an auction, but they first conducted some research and paid a visit to the sites. Ultimately, the two reached a decision. Cal then went on to place a bid on their wanted property. He ended up winning the auction and instead got a 120-year-old manor!

Making Mistakes
Wrong Bid
They had been looking to buy an apartment in Pollokshields, Glasgow, even though neither was Scottish. The property had been damaged by fire, so they already knew a lot of work would be needed. They thought it would take six months for them to fix it, but it was worth it. So when Cal dropped by the auction house, Claire went home for a visit.

Wrong Bid
Big Accident
He placed the offer on the property and was delighted that he won after offering £ 30,000 for it. However, when he realized that the house he placed the bid on was sold in not one lot, but three, his joy then turned to panic! It turns out he’s got another property. In Dunoon, Scotland, it was a 120-year-old mansion.

Big Accident
Taking It Well
Cal knew that he was messing up after hearing “all sales are final.” He swallowed hard, then called his girlfriend, who had been visiting her family in Canada. Can you imagine just letting your girlfriend know you paid $39,400 for a house that you didn’t want? Surprisingly, she didn’t get too angry about it.

Taking It Well
It Could Be Worse
Given that the amount of money for a property was not too large, they decided to renovate the house they bought. She told him it wouldn’t be a problem. When Cal called, her father was right next to her, and he agreed with her. He told them, “What’s the worst that could happen?” They were about to find out what their new property had in store for them, just like that.

It Could Be Worse
Fixer Upper
Cal learned at the auction that the manor was called Jameswood Villa. It was described as requiring “full upgrading throughout.” He saw a Google Streetview image dating back to 2010. These two were ready for a challenge, although the place was no longer in its prime.

Fixer Upper
Ideal, But Not Ideal
They had to look up Dunoon on the map to find out where their new property was located, so Claire was Canadian, and Cal was English. They were happy to find out that Glasgow was not that far away. At Glasgow University, Claire was planning to attend med school, so this was ideal for them. The shock had already worn off, and the young couple felt quite optimistic about the situation at hand.

Ideal, But Not Ideal

They were both cautiously optimistic about their new effort. To check out the property they got from the auction; Cal went over to Dunoon. Unfortunately, as soon as they got to the area, they were disappointed as they learned that the photo was extremely outdated.

Rotten To The Core
Meanwhile, with gaping holes, the roof arrived. It was easy to see that, as most of the timber had rotted out, no one had lived in the manor for the past twenty years. Aside from that, they knew that plumbing and electrics would also need to be replaced. Their new “derelict house” was not expected to be this dangerous and run down.

Rotten To The Core
Bad Shape
Not only that, but the “leaning, crumbling front wall” was angled in such a way as to hide it, which indicated that there were major structural problems. They discovered later that the house was sinking into the ground. There was no doubt that it would be a challenge for this place.

Bad Shape
Optimistic and Determined
Cal and Claire were not about to give up, despite all these challenges. They traveled throughout England and saw abandoned buildings everywhere. They were ready to transform it into a lovely home. Although Jameswood looked like it would be harder to flip than they wanted, the challenge did not deter them. On the contrary, they felt excited about it! Quite the adventurous pair that these two are!

Optimistic and Determined
A Wake-Up Call
However, they had a wake-up call when they realized they did not have the cash to carry out the project. They knew they would have to get crafty to afford this venture. They would not only have to do the renovations on their own, but they would also have to alter their lifestyle. They would also have to stop paying rent or mortgage, in addition to doing all of the work.

A Wake-Up Call
The Caravan Life
They had to sacrifice a lot of stuff and go all-in if they wanted to do this. And so they’ve done. The two of them rolled their sleeves up and began working. They planned to become homeless for the project’s duration, so they rented a caravan and then parked it in the property’s garden.

The Caravan Life
Manageable Issues
As the problem persists, the caravan would be their home as long as the problem has not ended yet, even though it does not have electricity nor running water. However, they managed to get by with candles and asking their neighbors if they could use their oven and shower.

Manageable Issues
Adventurous Couple
These two young people described themselves as a couple “determined to make life an adventure.” It sure looks like they have exactly what they want! They were more than prepared to take a chance on the hand they were dealing with. Fate was the one, after all, to bring them together as well.

Adventurous Couple
How They Met
We’re sure you want to know how this Englishman and this Canadian met for the first time. Their first meeting, apparently, occurred in the French Alps. Then, during the ski season, they met and got along really well. They then became an item, crossed Europe on a road trip, and spent a summer in Canada. The remainder is history, as the saying goes!

How They Met
Their Own Blog
To record their progress on the renovation, the couple decided to set up a blog and an Instagram page. It was quite a difficult renovation, and it made it more fun for the pair to document their journey.

Their Own Blog
What Have We Done?
The two decided to use the witty title “What Have We Dunoon?” as a joke about “what have we done?”. This is a smart spin on how the project started and the town in which their property was located. A hilarious wordplay, right?

They post regularly so that when they celebrate the little things like installing the electrical grid or taking care of the plumbing, their followers and fans join them. Oh, and tea breaks, of course! After all, they are in the UK. Recently, the couple posted this photo on their Instagram, thanking followers as they hit the 100th mark recently!

Their Schedule
As we said earlier, the two had no choice but to put all of themselves into the work. However, they did ask for help from a few of their friends. For example, they got help clearing out the dirt on the sidewalk.

Their Schedule
Making It Work
A lot of things had to be done, so they kept taking this assignment for granted. It was a nice thing that their friend was willing to help out. Claire has been working full-time on the project, while Cal also takes on carpentry jobs whenever he can to help them make ends meet.

Making It Work
Setbacks Left and Right
Because of how much work was needed to be done, there was no doubt that the task they are taking on is a big one. Ever since they started the project in November 2018, the two of them have faced various problems. Cal went on to explain, “Finding a new problem seems to be a daily occurrence.”

Setbacks Left and Right
DIY Installations
The two of them took it upon themselves to install a driveway when the work van kept getting stuck in the mud. To find the water supply, they also had to dig it up, which was more elusive than they thought. It even took five months to search for a cable that would allow them to power the grid!

DIY Installations
Like A Paradox
The two had one more problem that writer Joseph Heller would be interested in. The manor needed a new roof since it currently has enough holes to pass for a Swiss cheese slice. But unbeknownst to them, there was an issue.

Like A Paradox
The Community
It was a good thing that in the project, they were never really alone. Not only did their friends drop by to assist them. The local community in town also has the support of Cal and Claire! We talked about neighbors who thought they would share their showers and ovens with the young couple. There were other ways they would help out, though.

The Community
Stuck In A Rut
Since they were far too rickety, the walls did not seem strong enough to support a new roof. So they must fix the walls, but because there was no roof, the rain would only come down and ruin them again. “It’s like a huge catch-22 jigsaw puzzle,” Cal described the situation.

Stuck In A Rut
GoFundMe
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness of the people of Dunoon,” said Cal. The residents have always been encouraging and supportive, although some thought they were crazy for doing this. What a wonderful community they are encircled by! Claire and Cal set up a GoFundMe page to get additional help for their project, where family, friends, and even strangers can donate.

GoFundMe
Support From Near And Far
Via their blog, many other people have reached out to Claire and Cal. Their followers were always there for these two, from technical advice to places to buy materials. If that’s not wonderful enough, the outgoing couple also met many individuals who lent a hand during their renovation. In addition, 4-5 friends show up daily to help where they can.

Support From Near And Far
Eco-Friendly Project
In addition to their practical financing concerns, Cal and Claire wanted to make this renovation project as environmentally friendly as it could be. So they have chosen to use reclaimed building materials in that sense. They are willing to recycle timber, floorboards, kitchen units; you name it! They’ll use whatever they can get their hands on!

Eco-Friendly Project
A Test
The fixer-upper of Jameswoods Villa was going to do more than just teach some valuable skills to these lovebirds. Claire thought that, on top of that, it was also a way to test their relationship. What, after all, could they not survive if they managed to live on the building site in a caravan? This was her reasoning line. She was an optimist who saw the bright side of things all the time. “It’s a long way off,” Claire admitted, “but it is there.”

A Test
Their End Goal
Whenever you start a project of this scale, everything should be meticulously planned, especially the end goal. After all, you need to finalize what you would be working on to ensure no work is wasted. Thankfully, this was not a problem for the young couple.

Their End Goal
Big Future Plans
For both of them, when they put down the tools, they hoped that the property would be completely renovated. But, in addition, they want to transform it into three individual apartments. They plan to sell two of them, use their profits to repay their debts, and live in the spare unit after that.

Big Future Plans
A Happy Accident
Perspective is critical, as you can see here. When they learned that they had paid for the wrong home, it would have been easy to lose hope right away. It was a big mistake to make, we can all say. However, Cal and Claire decided to think of this incident as a “happy accident” instead. Time can’t be reversed, so why not make the most of it, right?

A Happy Accident
No Need To Dwell
They knew that life was one big adventure, even though it was what they had in mind. That’s how they handled it, and we’re happy to hear that. When they could still turn things around, they did not want to stay and despair. We’re not sure that we could do what these two young adults did, and we’re betting that many people feel the same way! With a smile and a determined mind, both Cal and Claire take on everything in life!

No Need To Dwell
Calculating Risks
One needs to weigh the risk and the reward, like everything else we do in life. From the very start, the risks in the project were glaringly apparent. Who knows, it could be that when they bought it, they lost their hard-earned money. Moreover, with the renovation, they could lose even more. To say the least, it was a big gamble.

Calculating Risks
Mortgage-Less
They felt, however, that in this situation, the positives outweighed the negatives. Not only would they learn so much along the way, but as a couple, they would also become so much closer. Not only that, but when they were still in their twenties, they would also get to call themselves homeowners. They wouldn’t even be required to pay a mortgage! It would be such a big accomplishment.

Mortgage Less
No Gray Areas
When we call Theodore Roosevelt the greatest president the United States ever had, we bet you will agree with us. If you don’t, you should know that we’re ready to fight you for it. There were several things he knew about conquering challenges. As a child, he had asthma and became a hero during the Spanish-American War. If that doesn’t speak for itself, then what it does, we don’t know!

No Gray Areas
Wise Words
He’d just know what to say to Cal and Claire. He said that it is better to dare to do mighty things, even if you sometimes fail, than to live in power. “gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.” Whoa. We’re pretty sure these two go-getters will live by the wise words of the former POTUS. They have never given up when faced with setbacks during the process.

Wise Words
Good Luck
There might not be a direct line to fate, but we are sure that their huge gamble would pay off big time if there were justice in this world. In uniting these two lovers from different parts of the world, Fate had a part. They are now in a third country, where they were hoping to start a new chapter of their life together, even though it took a very different turn than they had expected.

Good Luck
Nothing Is In Their Way
While the work is still ongoing, which will last for quite a while, we’re just going to keep our fingers crossed for them. We hope they will never lose their optimism and work hard to deal with their “happy accident.” But we’re not too worried about these two; we have to admit. They seem to know what they want, and nothing stops them when they are determined!

Nothing Is In Their Way
Remaining Positive
We do not doubt that, over the course, they had many frustrating moments. It is probably also very tiring. However, we hope they keep their spirits up at any rate. Luckily, so far, they’ve been very optimistic and are not letting any setback keep them down!

Remaining Positive
Things Will Get Better
With more than its fair share of challenges, it could be a lot of hard work. The truck bottomed out from the weight of the bricks at one point, for one thing. We are sure, however, that they can make it through this challenge. Their plans will come along, slowly but surely.

Things Will Get Better
Good Riddance
The house, because it is so old, is falling apart. They also needed to get rid of a great deal of junk. To discard various dirty, gross, and moldy items, they took many trips to the dump. Before they drove over to the dump, the couple had to refill the truck to its full capacity. No matter how much they tried to rescue them, most of the items they found in the house can no longer be used.

Good Riddance
Stay Safe
It is always important to remember that your safety should always be the utmost priority when working on a project of this scale (or any project in general). This is because so many things could impose danger or any form of harm, especially when it comes to renovations.

Stay Safe
Caution
This is why you have to make sure that you wear the right attire and gear before you get to work. For example, when you are at a construction site, you might breathe in soot, dust, mold, and chemicals. You have to keep your face mask on because of this.

Caution
Down and Dirty
On top of that, it is also important for the couple to be aware that if they want to ensure that the renovation project will succeed, they will have to get down and dirty. To ensure that their hands are safe from dirt and wounds, it is a good thing that they can buy work gloves.

Down and Dirty
To Social Media
In fact, they were so ecstatic with their new pair of gloves that they went to Instagram and made a post about how delightful they are with their new pair of gloves. However, the couple mentioned that the new pair of gloves would sadly not last longer than an hour.

Breaks They Deserve
Although the couple has a huge task ahead of them, they were determined to see it come to fruition and not give up on their dreams of transforming the rotting old manor into the home of their dreams. It is a good sign that regardless of what they were going through, they have not lost any hope whatsoever.

Breaks They Deserve
A Bit Of Zen
We are also pleased to hear that they make sure that the two of them take as many breaks as they need. They also go out and sometimes have fun with their buddies. They are also making sure to put some fun into their schedule! They are still working on the project at the moment.

A Bit Of Zen
Power On
In early March, Claire and Cal managed to get the electricity working on their property at last. It truly was an incredible achievement! Of course, even experienced electricians can struggle with old houses that haven’t been used in years. But, it was huge progress for the two of them. We aren’t just talking about how much progress they’ve made on the house, either. The fact that they got electricity in their house meant more than just that.

Power On
Let There Be Light
They got electricity in their house meant that they didn’t have to work by candlelight when night fell every evening. This was fantastic since doing so was dangerous and slowed them down significantly. Another reason for having electricity changed everything because now they could charge their tools at home rather than go to a neighbor’s house. Not to mention, they would be able to plug in a fan in the scorching summer months.

Let There Be Light
Removing the Floorboards
To make you understand just how structurally flawed this mansion was, let’s discuss the living room floors. They were in terrible shape. On the top floor of Jameswood Villa, the floorboards in one room were so rotten that they crumbled whenever someone touched them. Just imagine what could happen if someone were to stand on that flooring! It could spell disaster for them and everyone around.

Removing the Floorboards
Safety First
It goes without saying that this was incredibly dangerous. For this reason, Claire decided to take this flooring out completely. Even though it would require a lot of extra work, safety is the most important thing. It was better for there to be no floorboards rather than have someone fall through with no warning. Seeing as she was involved just like everyone else, she decided to take on this job herself.

Safety First
Afraid Of Heights
While working on this project, she posted this photo to her Instagram with the caption, “Because I’m not a fan of heights, I’ve kept my feet firmly planted to the ground oiling all our scaffolding bits while Cal and Yuji built the towers.” It was safer for there to be no floorboards than having weak ones that could cave under someone’s feet. When talking about the mansion’s exterior and scaffolding, there was an additional challenge for Claire – she needed to get past her fear of heights.

Afraid Of Heights
Conquering A Fear
Claire wanted to conquer her fear of heights, and she did! She helped Cal and their friends when they were putting up scaffolding all around the house. It’s awe-inspiring that she was able to overcome her fear of being of help. But, of course, she prioritized safety above all, which is why she was sure to put on a safety harness before getting to work. The couple nearly finished installing the scaffolding, so Cal decided it was time for a tea break.

Conquering A Fear
Ceiling Pushing the Wall
The reason the scaffolding was so important for the project is that the manor was in bad shape. The front wall of the house was reaching the end of its days. In fact, you can see in the photo that the bay window up front was in terrible shape. It looked like it would be toppling over at any moment. So the scaffolding was a way to keep things in place while the group mended the structure.

Ceiling Pushing the Wall
About To Collapse
All this also possibly meant that the sandstone wall could collapse at any moment too. It was a scary ordeal for two twenty-something-year-olds to handle. It’s a good thing they had an entire crew of their friends to help them out. At first, the crew thought this was related to the fact that the house was slowly sinking. However, after working on it for a while, they found out that the house’s timbers were pushing it out.

About To Collapse
Old School
Now and again, Cal and Claire would remember that they still had a long way to go before they would be finishing this project. At one point, they had a washing machine on the construction site and the electricity to work it, but it couldn’t handle the Scottish mud that covered all the gloves and clothes that everyone wore daily. So, they had to find another alternative to get their clothes clean.

Old School
Nothing Is Off Limits
Claire has been trying to think of creative solutions and out-of-the-box ideas. Suddenly, it came to her; she decided to follow in her ancestors’ footsteps and take a leaf out of their book. She did her washing in the stream. After soaking her clothes there, she put up a line and hung up all her clothes to dry out in the sun.

Nothing Is Off Limits
A Brilliant Idea
Throughout the process of the project, Cal has proven time and time again that he’s good at thinking on his feet. For example, since the manor was far from being livable, it had no kitchen to cook meals. And so, he came up with a clever way to deal with this problem. Instead of cooking in the caravan, he got some scaffolding pieces and built an outdoor kitchen for them to use.

A Brilliant Idea
Making Moves
After successfully clearing a new route to gain access to the house, the couple asked a neighbor for help towing their caravan. Then, they decided to move it to the other side of the manor. So, they pushed it to the top of the yard later on. There they were able to see deer and horses roaming in the fields nearby.

Making Moves
No More Camping, Please
Additionally, they were able to get kitchen units from the house and place all their kitchenware there. It might be nowhere near traditional, but the setup turned out to serve them very well. All the same, we can imagine that they would be tired of camping once they would be done with the lengthy process. Making dinners outside on cold rainy days does not sound fun at all. Not to mention having no escape from the summer heat outside.

No More Camping, Please
A Great View
At the start of the project, the couple decided to park their caravan right in front of the manor since they had nowhere else to put it at the time. However, this wasn’t an ideal situation since each passing truck would feel somewhat like an earthquake inside the van. Not to mention, it also happened to be right beside the collapsed front wall, making them slightly nervous.

A Great View
Scaring Crows
Since Jameswood Villa was deserted for such a long time, nature was in the midst of reclaiming it when they had arrived. You’d be surprised to find out what they encountered. There were animals and bugs everywhere. In fact, crows were the biggest problem in the house. The birds decided that Jameswood Villa was their new home, and they weren’t keen on leaving anytime soon.

Scaring Crows
Bye Bye Birdie
Even though Claire loves animals, she was frustrated that the crows made it hard for them to work on their project. So she and Cal sat down to think of ways to deter the crows from the house and allow them to go on with the project. To keep them out of the house, they tried many different things. They even went so far as having Claire’s father build a scarecrow. But, unfortunately, it didn’t work too well.

Bye Bye Birdie
Hello Summer
Time went on; spring turned into summer. This meant that Cal and Claire got a great group of friends visiting them from the UK and other parts of the world. However, their friends didn’t come to visit to watch the couple work all day. In fact, many of them decided to spend a lot of their time helping the two of them with their huge project.

Hello Summer
Thank You
Naturally, Cal and Claire were more than grateful for all the extra help they got. They wanted to show their friends just how much they appreciated them. So, they decided to repay them in the best way. They made sure to have their friends stay somewhere as comfortable as possible. Just take a look at the amazing tent they set up for them! We have no doubt they’ll sleep well in this small oasis.

Thank You
Live Updates
Throughout the entire process, Claire made sure to post updates to their blog. One post said, “I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I’m REALLY enjoying the carpentry on this project! I get to learn a LOT of new skills and use powerful tools… Oh, and it sure does beat digging muddy trenches and knocking down dusty old plaster walls. Jameswood restoration isn’t always fun and games, but this part sure is!”

Live Updates
Thanks To Great Friends
Claire continued, saying, “With plenty of friends from around the world coming to help us, we’ve had enough hands on deck to work on the house……while also working on making living conditions a bit better here on site!” So it seems things were looking up for the couple and their friends.

Thanks To Great Friends
Progress Is Key
As May rolled around, Claire wrote another blog post to update her audience and everyone else about all the progress made since the last update. The post wasn’t all fun and games. Instead, it explained some of the hard work that was involved in their long journey.

Progress Is Key
Becoming A Home
Her post described what they’ve been up to in the project and what has been accomplished. Claire wrote, “The improvements have been well worth the work! It’s so nice to have a nice space to hang out in. This area truly had become the centerpiece of our living space here at Jameswood.”

Becoming A Home
A Different Perspective
Seeing as they spent every spare moment they had on the project, it was hard to figure out how far along they’ve gotten and how much more there was to do. They had to put things in perspective since they were so involved in the manor to see it differently. They had to look at the bigger picture.

A Different Perspective
Sigh Of Relief
Aside from an extensive list of all the things they accomplished, the social media post-Claire spoke about the general progress they made. Even though they were nowhere near being done with the house, they have come a long way. They always had to remind themselves of that to encourage themselves to keep going.

Sigh Of Relief
Impressive Improvement
A visiting friend was absolutely shocked that they had already installed electricity in the house and worked. They might have a long way ahead still, but they’ve come so far. We wish them nothing but the best going forward with their Jamewood Villa restoration.

Impressive Improvement
Inspiration
If Claire and Cal’s unintentionally amazing story does anything for the world, we hope it inspires and motivates everyone to believe that anything is possible, even if they don’t think they can. Even if it starts as an accident, it could turn out to be the most amazing thing you’ve ever done!

Inspiration
Gladys and Carla Spizzirri are sisters who also happen to be real estate partners. For a long time, the two were fascinated by a house on Jane Street in Toronto, Ontario. The property’s owner decided to put it up for sale one day. This allows interested parties to discover for themselves what the house’s secret was. They were completely taken aback by what they saw.

A 96-Year-Old Woman And The Secret She Was Hiding In Her Home
A Regular Home
From the outside, 148 Jane Street didn’t stand out; it looked like any other Toronto home. Furthermore, the street is plain and uninteresting, with no notable landmarks, and the surrounding area lacked inspiration. The structures surrounding the property, on the other hand, appeared to be normal, so one might assume the home’s interiors were as well.

A Regular Home
Looking To Sell
Few people have seen inside the house, and the only thing most people knew about it was that the people who lived there had been the same for a long time. The house was certainly a mystery, but Carla and Gladys, who work in real estate, received a call from the owner one day. She was considering selling it. The Spizzirris, of course, had to see the house for themselves first.

Looking To Sell
Just A Regular Day
Gladys and Carla Spizzirri said their day at work began with little excitement, and everyone went about their business as usual. The sisters had never worked together before starting their own agency. Things changed, however, when they realized they were a great team. They realized they were a powerful and efficient team, so they persisted.

Just A Regular Day
Surprising Event
After working in the industry for several years, Carla and Gladys understand how things work. The ladies enjoy their jobs in addition to being excellent at what they do. They are no longer frequently surprised, but there are still exceptions. One of them was this.

Surprising Event
The Phone Rings
Professional realtors are still surprised from time to time! The Spizzirri sisters had no idea they were on to something big, which is understandable given that no one knows what the future holds; however, what happened next? Then the phone at the realtors’ office started ringing, and Carla and Gladys’ lives were forever changed.

The Phone Rings
A Call From A Stranger
The call was answered like any other call because the phone at the real estate office never stops ringing. Joyce, an older woman, called them to say she was thinking of selling her house. She had not, however, made her final decision.

A Call From A Stranger
A Secret
When Joyce told the realtors about her plans to sell her house, she seemed hesitant. They could tell the older woman didn’t like the idea by the tone of her voice and how she spoke. She was, however, a determined woman who would most likely sell her home. Then Joyce revealed a secret to the real estate duo, which completely surprised them and completely changed their situation.

A Secret
A Different Kind Of Emotion
Many people who sell their homes believe it is the best decision they can make, so they appear pleased when they contact a realtor. They believe it is the start of a new chapter in their previous ones. Joyce, on the other hand, did not appear happy or enthusiastic about leaving her home.

A Different Kind Of Emotion
Hiding Something
When it comes to dealing with clients, real estate agents seem to have a sixth sense. Gladys and Carla both believed Joyce was concealing something that would make finding a buyer for her house difficult. The realtors were well aware that even if something bad had happened in the past, it could harm the sale of a home.

Hiding Something
Challenge Accepted
Joyce wasn’t attempting to conceal any typical homeowner issue. For example, the water heater was in good working order, and there were no issues such as black mold. The secret, on the other hand, was much bigger. Carla and Gladys Spizzirri, on the other hand, stuck to their guns and accepted the challenge.

Challenge Accepted
No Way To Prepare
Real estate duo Carla and Gladys are self-assured in their ability to list almost anything. They excel at their jobs and are always on the lookout for new ones. As a result, they are well-versed in the field. It didn’t, however, prepare the two for what was about to happen.

No Way To Prepare
Something New
Carla and Gladys assumed that they had seen everything because they had been in the real estate business for a while. The sisters had dealt with situations that most people would give up on, and they believed they could handle anything. However, before driving to Joyce’s house, the real estate team was already planning what they might find there. Although they had some wild ideas, the reality was nothing like what they had imagined.

Something New
Low Expectations
Gladys and Carla have worked in real estate for three years and have a good understanding of the city. They’d bought and sold several properties in the city’s most well-known areas. Occasionally, the sisters would strike it rich and purchase a home that didn’t require much work and practically sold itself. The realtors had no idea if this was the case with 148 Jane Street, but they were not optimistic.

Low Expectations
