Instead, they abandoned many antiquities on the Alps’ heights. Hundreds of people were killed as a result of many of those events.

Many battlefields have been made into monuments and even museums in various locations. The Italian Alps, on the other hand, are a different story. There is no tourist attraction there. Until recently, the items atop Mount Scorluzzo remained in the same location.
