Marathon Runner
Princess Beatrice was the first princess to run a marathon. In 2010, she became the first member of the royal family to finish the London Marathon. She is very proud of her accomplishment and is not embarrassed to flaunt it. She and a group of friends ran in colorful tutus and legwarmers to raise money for various children’s organizations, notably Children in Crisis, which was established by her mother, The Duchess of York.
A Woman OF Many Talents
Beatrice became the first member of the British Royal family to ever appear in a feature film after studying theatre and film studies. She had a minor part in the 2009 film Young Victoria. The film tells the tale of Queen Victoria’s childhood. Sarah Ferguson, Bea’s mother, was a producer on the film. Although Beatrice enjoyed her little acting role, the real film was reported to have irritated The Queen due to historical errors.
