Bobby Murphy and Evan Spiegel developed the app in 2011 with no clue how huge it would become. Snapchat is estimated to be valued at more than $20 billion at the moment. Tencent, a Chinese business, was able to expand its reach to Snapchat in 2017. This digital behemoth paid more than $2 billion for a 10% share in the social networking business, hoping to profit handsomely.
