A position you do have to take notice of when your dog is tired is when they sway their paws across the chest. They do this when they’re tired as well but it’s more than just resting. The pup is probably overheating and trying to cool their body down.

Belly Curls
Although it might look adorable, it’s actually a bit concerning since this sleeping position doesn’t give dogs a good sleep at night. The belly curl is when they sleep on their stomach and have their legs underneath or to the side. Because their muscles tense up while holding this pose, dogs don’t reach REM. Often, gentle and shy dogs would use this position to sleep.
