While there were a bunch of other nightclubs across the city, there was no true rival to the glorious Studio 54 in those days. Something about it was simply hard to recreate, and everyone was aware of this. It was truly tragic that they had to shut it down in February 1980.

You did not have to be a celebrity to get into the club, but it made things easier. A lot of people said that you can gain entry by simply being interesting. It was important to come with something that set you apart from the crowd. We do not know who these folks are, but we can figure out how they got inside Studio 54 from this photo alone!
