If we were to carpet the entire room, there would be a slew of difficulties. Some people may have allergic responses to it, and it is also more difficult to maintain than hardwood or laminate. We required rugs for the hardwood floors, but we didn’t have to work around the carpet because we could alter the color themes and the rugs.
