With a 5-star dinner that included caviar, steamed shrimp salad in champagne vinaigrette, and lobster rolls, French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten provided catering for the occasion. He offered Cristal champagne all night long as well as steak tenderloin as the main meal. Probably all 350 visitors licked their plates clean.

Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are” and his new rendition of “The Lady is a Tramp,” which has new lyrics critical of Trump, was among the songs performed that evening. Melania also hired a complete orchestra, The Michael Rose Orchestra of Palm Beach, which featured piano, saxophone, bass, and drums, in addition to Billy Joel’s million-dollar performance.
