One More Clue
So far, none of the YouTube commenter’s theories panned out. But the strange lines that marked the walls from top to bottom remained the biggest hint that remained. What were they? Why were they there? Finding out their true nature could be the breakthrough necessary for discovering the truth. At first, Cyrex686 thought the room was nothing more than another storage facility, then it dawned on him. He finally figured out what the strange lines on the wall were from.

A Storage Tank?
The line-markings on the walls were made of liquid to indicate the changing levels of liquid over time. The room could have been used for sewage, which would explain the lack of an entry point into the room if it had been used as a storage tank for liquid. But that wasn’t exactly the real answer. The cavernous room behind the hole had been used for something else completely.
