Carly Simon’s first album came out in 1971. It came with a popular single called “That’s the Way I’ve Always Heard it Should Be.” It was a huge hit, so she was prompted to come out with another album only months after this. She experienced real stardom when she released her 1972 song called “You’re so Vain”. She still performs to this day. She has also written a memoir and toured with Taylor Swift!

This helped her get noticed, which is how she bagged her roles in McCabe & Mrs. Miller, 3 Women, Brewster McCloud, Nashville, Thieves Like Us, Popeye, and The Shining. She quit acting during the early ‘00s but works as a children’s show producer now. In 2016, USA Today and Dr. Phil called her mentally ill!
