Throughout the entire process, Claire made sure to post updates to their blog. One post said, “I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I’m REALLY enjoying the carpentry on this project! I get to learn a LOT of new skills and use powerful tools… Oh, and it sure does beat digging muddy trenches and knocking down dusty old plaster walls. Jameswood restoration isn’t always fun and games, but this part sure is!”

Claire continued, saying, “With plenty of friends from around the world coming to help us, we’ve had enough hands on deck to work on the house……while also working on making living conditions a bit better here on site!” So it seems things were looking up for the couple and their friends.
