He was also credited with the Clean Air Act, the North American Free Trade Agreement, and the Americans With Disabilities Act, among other things. Aside from these accomplishments, he also holds the record for the longest presidential marriage at 73 years!
George H.W. Bush’s Death
George H.W. Bush had been battling vascular Parkinson’s disease for many years before succumbing to the disease on November 30, 2018, just seven months after his wife, Barbara, died. He was the first president to die in 12 years; the previous one, Gerald Ford, died in 2006.
