At the start of the sitcom, the producer wished that the main character’s name in the sitcom was Sally. However, Reba convinced them to change the main character’s name as her own. She thought that this way, her loyal fans would watch her show. Melissa Peterman played the role of Barbara on the show where Barbara was the villain, and she was the mistress of Reba’s husband. However, we could say they were vicious from each other in the show, yet they were best friends outside of the film.
