Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter’s 2013 American epic biographical dark comedy crime drama The Wolf of Wall Street is based on Jordan Belfort’s 2007 autobiography of the same name. It describes how Belfort worked as a stockbroker in New York City and how his company, Stratton Oakmont, became involved in widespread fraud and corruption on Wall Street, which ultimately led to his collapse.
