They took off the iron grille and saw a hole big enough for a small child to go through. In there, they discovered a cellar that seemed like a chapel! Historians helped them date it back to the 1700s. Their theory was that it was a Catholic Church used when Catholics were getting executed and persecuted.

Hidden Room
In 1963, this man was renovating the house when he discovered a hidden room after knocking down one of the walls. While exciting enough, he kept finding one after another! It was actually an entire underground city called Derinkuyu. It was formed by a network of tunnels made by the Hittites.
