However, Peter most often thought of frogs or other smaller amphibians when he heard this. Peter had no idea what kind of snake he was dealing with, but he was certain that he did not want to get too close to the creature. On the other hand, he did photograph it and mark the spot on his map where he discovered it with a pin. Perhaps there was another person who knew more about this animal.

It had emerged from its hiding place and had just positioned itself so that it was directly in the way of Peter’s intended route. Peter, unwilling to take any chances, made the executive decision to turn around and head back to the hotel where he was staying. But he was by no means finished dealing with this animal…
