Jushin Thunder Liger

Jushin Thunder Liger, who made his debut in 1984, is one of the most famous wrestlers in history. After a long and successful career, he retired in January 2020. He wrestled for New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) from his debut until his retirement, making him the company’s longest-tenured wrestler. Throughout his career, he fought in over 4,000 matches, including important events for various promoters across the world. In 2020, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The Hurricane

Shane Helms created this fan-favourite superhero mask. He won the WWE Hardcore Championship as well as the WWE Tag Team Championship. He assumed the ring moniker “The Hurricane” but ditched the superhero gimmick in 2005. He holds the record for the longest reign in SmackDown history. He was out of commission for more than a year after undergoing neck fusion surgery. Helms was released by WWE in February 2010, but he returned as a surprise entry in the 2018 Royal Rumble match.
