The Patriot

Many people recognize American retired pro wrestler Del Wilkes as The Patriot, whose career lasted barely seven years but was a tremendous hit among wrestling fans. Aside from his time in the WWF, he also wrestled for other companies such as All Japan Wrestling. He was especially popular when he competed against other anti-American wrestlers. The Patriot, at the age of 58, still wrestles on occasion.

Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart

Bret “The Hitman” Hart began his wrestling career in the early 1970s, but he wrestled until 2000. Despite not being the most successful wrestler in the WWE, he was immensely popular. His contribution to wrestling is undeniable, and he is recognized for changing public image of mainstream professional wrestling in North America in the early 1990s. Hitman was frequently spotted wearing metallic shades, which added to his macho image.
