Edward Furlong, on the other hand, shone brightly right from the start of the performance. In addition to winning Teen Idol, he went on to appear in Terminator 2: Judgement Day as John Connor, among other roles. His role as a skinhead in American History X was both praised and critiqued for its authenticity as well as for its horrifying violence. Over the years, Furlong has been in a number of films, including Pet Sematary 2, American Heart, Detroit Rock City, The Green Hornet, and A Home of Our Own. His acting career extended until the 1990s, with different degrees of success (including another Terminator picture). He also recorded a song, Hold on Tight, which was only published in Japan and was a Japanese-language release.

It took a while, but Edward’s life finally became out of balance. His reputation began to deteriorate as a result of severe drug and alcohol problems that grew worse over time. In October of 2000, Edward was finally admitted to the rehab facility. It was him who remarked, “I was an opium and cocaine addict who took a variety of drugs. It was a terrifying experience. It’s been a long time since I’ve talked about [partying]. Playing sports, going to clubs, and doping coke all appear to be lonely activities these days. The use of powerful medications causes me to have sleeplessness.” His former drug addiction issues may be noticed clearly on his face, as can his previous criminal record.
