Geena Davis Then
Geena Davis was a hot item in the 1980s. When Beetlejuice and then Thelma and Louise catapulted her to box-office stardom, it seemed she couldn’t go wrong. Davis and her ex-husband Jeff Goldblum were on the front of every magazine in the 1990s, and you couldn’t turn around in a store without seeing them. The Fly, their reimagining of the horror classic, is repulsive. Renny Harlin’s flop Cutthroat Island, directed by her now ex-husband, was the only genuine blemish on the ointment. They made the film specifically to help Geena launch her career. It turned out to be a flop, and she was nearly bankrupt as a result.
Geena Davis Now
Geena is still looking terrific, especially considering she’s in her sixties! The well-known actress may be seen here advocating the Women’s Sports Foundation’s battle for gender equality in sports. Geena still performs occasionally, but she now devotes the most of her time to campaigning. She’s even set up a research center to look into gender stereotypes in the media. She was one of 300 hopefuls for a spot on the women’s Olympic archery team in 1999. She may play an adult Katniss Everdeen if Disney sells the Hunger Games series.
