Vintage Items
Despite the fact that this procedure is performed on a regular basis, vintage items such as this camera are still discovered during the cleaning process due to the canal’s age. It’s a mystery how these items ended up at the canal’s bottom in the first place, especially since they predate the canal’s last cleaning. For all we know, people may drop things in the canal on a regular basis, whether intentionally or unintentionally. Always, items with a longer history than expected are discovered.

Sentimental Discoveries
As the canal’s 90,000 cubic meters of water is drained, more items appear and are discovered. You would expect to find old and filthy items, and you would be correct. However, there were some other, more surprising discoveries. Take, for example, this stuffed animal. It appears to be brand new, in contrast to everything else we’ve seen so far. The contrast between the almost spotless stuffed animal and the filthy motorcycle beneath it is almost chilling in this photo.
