He was able to muster up his courage to investigate the tunnel some more. Two things dominated his thoughts. First of all, there might be gold down there. On the other hand, it might be haunted. He decided to prepare for this trip and went with a flashlight and spare batteries. As Christopher returned to the mine, the night started to fall.

The Source Of The Water
During his first trek into the mine, he only managed to reach 150 feet deep. If he wanted to figure out what was going on here, he would have to keep going. This was the only way for him to learn the truth. At 600 feet deep, he finally found the source of water. It was hiding behind a door, however.
