They contacted two archaeologists to come to the stream to check out the object. It was clear that they would have to conduct a scientific investigation to get to the bottom of things. This involved bringing it to the lab! They had to organize how to bring it over there.

When the archaeologists got to the scene, they attempted to dig out the object. However, it was way too heavy for them. Aside from that, they noticed that there seemed to be some kind of egg inside the hard material. It took them a long time and hard work to dig out the object. They did not know how they were going to transport something like this to the lab, however.
