After taking a look at the object, the archaeologists were able to say something that the others had been thinking. This thing was clearly not from that time period. As a matter of fact, it was ancient. They took a piece of it and inspected it with a microscope in an attempt to understand it even better.

After they did some research and inspected it some more, the archaeologists saw that it was a fossil. It was not an ordinary one either because it came from an ancient turtle shell. Perhaps the craziest part of the story was that a similar discovery was made on another part of the globe at around the same time.
