Whatever their objective was, we’re unclear but they soon began to target Joey Mason that spring. The incidents were going on for several weeks and it seemed as though wherever Joey went so did the bullies. Luckily, Joey was a strong and courageous youngster so he tried his best to ignore their name-calling. The group of teenagers didn’t seem to give up and in fact, upped their bullying game.

Joey Mason was a harmless boy and never troubled anyone. So because of this, he may have been seen as a good target from the teenagers. For people around him it seemed as though everything was okay, but little did they know there would be a huge turn of events very soon. Joey soon was soon in a lot of trouble and the uproar began to attract the attention of everyone in the park.
