In early March, Claire and Cal managed to get the electricity working on their property at last. It truly was an incredible achievement! Of course, even experienced electricians can struggle with old houses that haven’t been used in years. But, it was huge progress for the two of them. We aren’t just talking about how much progress they’ve made on the house, either. The fact that they got electricity in their house meant more than just that.

They got electricity in their house meant that they didn’t have to work by candlelight when night fell every evening. This was fantastic since doing so was dangerous and slowed them down significantly. Another reason for having electricity changed everything because now they could charge their tools at home rather than go to a neighbor’s house. Not to mention, they would be able to plug in a fan in the scorching summer months.
