One morning, Sophie, 4, awoke to find her mother still asleep. This was really odd for her because her mother normally got up before her. Nothing worked when she tried to awaken her mother, she realized. Sophie began to suspect something could be awry as the hours passed and her mother was still sound sleeping. She thus dialed the only number she could recall. “911, what’s your emergency?”

Authorities Discover Something Unexpected After Receiving A Call From A Girl(7) Who Said Her Mother Wouldn’t Wake Up
Calling 911
She only knew this number because her mother had instructed her to remember it in case of an emergency. She stopped before responding as tears started to fill up in her eyes. Sophie stated, “My mommy has been asleep all day.” As she spoke to the operator, her chest was thumping with anxiety.

Calling 911
Helping Sophie
When a little youngster could be heard on the other end of the 911 call, the operator was astonished. As soon as he had a clear picture of the situation, he dispatched police and an ambulance to her residence. However, when the police arrived to the apartment complex, they discovered that entry was more difficult than they had anticipated.

Helping Sophie
Shocked At The Sight
Everyone was conscious of the passing of time. They were aware that they could only do one thing to enter. The cops were stunned by what they found when they were finally permitted to enter the residence, but what exactly surprised them? What had Sophie’s mother been up to? Will she recover, too?

Shocked At The Sight
Sophie And Her Mother
Only Sophie and her mother Hanna were present; Sophie was only four years old. The father of Sophie had never been present. As soon as Hanna informed him of her pregnancy, he left them. He wasn’t missed, though. Sophie had always been taken care of by Hanna.

Sophie And Her Mother
Dancing In The Kitchen
Their preferred period of the day was the morning. After waking up, eating breakfast as a family, and dancing in the kitchen with her daughter, Hanna would play music. Hanna would then go to work and Sophie would go to daycare. But Sophie immediately saw that today was different.

Dancing In The Kitchen
Still Asleep
As soon as Sophie awoke, she saw her mother was different. She could hardly open her eyes and wasn’t her usual cheerful self. In her normal behavior, Hanna would shut off the alarm, but she had not moved a muscle since it went off. Sophie stood up in order to switch it off.

Still Asleep
Too Young To Understand
Sophie regarded her mother while standing close to her bed. She must be quite worn out, Sophie reasoned. She wasn’t old enough to comprehend how seriously incorrect something may be. Sophie decided to get ready and head to the living room on her own. She was hoping her mother would soon accompany her, but she never did…

Too Young To Understand
Time Ticked By
While the minutes passed, Sophie’s mother remained in bed sleeping. The TV was on, and Sophie started watching her typical morning program. But gradually she felt a rumbling in her stomach. What kept her mother from getting up and dancing in the kitchen? She then made the decision to check on her once again.

Time Ticked By
Trying To Wake Her
The door of her mother’s bedroom was cautiously opened by Sophie. “Mom?”, she enquired anxiously. Is your mother awake yet? I’m hungry,” she said, but there was no reply. She cautiously approached the bed and got up on top. She again called out, “Mommy,” and shook her mother’s shoulders. She was now starting to worry a lot.

Trying To Wake Her
No response
Her mother remained silent. Sophie’s heart started pounding. Her tiny frame began to tremble with fear, and her eyes began to fill with tears. She was desperate and unsure of what to do. But she recognized by now that there may be a serious problem. Sophie was alone herself and at a loss for what to do.

No Response
Remembering something
Sophie called out to her mother, hoping to rouse her once more. She was shocked to hear her mother groan a bit. Why is she not waking up? Sophie pondered. But then she recalled a lesson she had learned from her mother. Something her mother might be able to survive.

Remembering Something
Searching for the phone
If something went wrong, her mother would tell her to contact this number. It didn’t matter that she didn’t know who this individual was at the time. Her mother’s phone was nowhere to be seen when she hurried downstairs. She searched her mother’s handbag, her jacket, and the table, but she was unable to locate anything.

Searching For The Phone
A number for emergencies
Sophie eventually located the phone on the coffee table near to the couch. She dashed upstairs and held the phone up to her mother’s face to unlock it. She’d seen her mother act in that way several times. She struggled greatly to recall the number but ultimately succeeded.

A Number For Emergencies
Dialing the number
“9.. 1. She phoned with shaking fingers, “1. She stared worriedly at her mother while holding the phone to her ear. “Don’t worry, mommy,” she reassured. “911, what’s your emergency? I’ll get you some help.”A man enquired of her. She murmured, “Well, my mom has been sleeping all day.”

Dialing The Number
Talking to Sophie
Sophie’s voice appeared to startle the man on the other end of the telephone.
“Hey sweetheart, what’s your name?”, he politely enquired.
“Sophie,” Sophie assertively replied. Could you please come assist me?”You said that your mother slept all day. Sophie, is your dad around?” The man questioned without answering Sophie’s query.

Talking To Sophie
Explaining the situation
Sophie answered, “No.” Just my mother and I are present. However, she didn’t wake up this morning. I need you to stay on the line, Sophie, so please do.”, stated the operator. Where is your mother right now?”She is sleeping in her bedroom. Will you dispatch an ambulance and the police? “Yes, Sophie, but I have a few more questions, okay?” “I’m still in my pajamas.”

Explaining The Situation
A serious situation
The operator made an effort to speak as clearly and loudly as possible. This was crucial since kids are typically quickly distracted, so he had to take every effort to keep Sophie on the line.
Fortunately, Sophie was aware that her mother may be in danger. She therefore considered this to be a serious matter.

A Serious Situation
An important question
“Alright, Sophie. This is a very important question. I need to know where you live, so the police will find you.” the operator said. Sophie began to feel anxious once more. She was unaware of her residence. Abruptly, though, she realized that her mother had somehow retained a note with their address on it.

An Important Question
Grabbing the note
Wait a moment, Sophie pleaded. “Wait, Sop-” the operator started, but she had already left. “I will be right back.” The message was torn from the wall as Sophie sprinted to the front door. She bolted back to her mother’s room after that. She said, “I’m back,” with joy. “And I have the note.”

Grabbing The Note
Waiting
After giving the operator her address, Sophie waited. She answered all of the operator’s inquiries while being on the phone with him the entire time. He questioned her on essential matters like if her mother was breathing and whether she was harmed. However, the ambulance was taking a very long time to come.

Waiting
Taking very long
Sophie had no concept of time; she was only four years old. She didn’t even hear the sirens, but even she could see that the ambulance should have been there by this point. Despite not knowing if her mother could hear her or not, she continued to be at her mother’s side and comforted her.

Taking Very Long
Burning up
Although she was still alive, her mother’s condition wasn’t excellent. Her breaths came in lengthy intervals, and Sophie could feel her mother heating up when she put her palm on her forehead, the way her mother usually did when she was sick.
But eventually, she heard a sound.

Burning Up
Hearing the sirens
Eventually, Sophie heard the sirens after what seemed like an age. Running to the living room, she awaited their arrival there. She heard the sound of heavy footsteps coming up their apartment building’s stairs and halting in front of their door. “Sophie?!”One of the guys shouted. “I’m inside now! She responded.

Hearing The Sirens
A locked door
Sophie felt her heart race in her chest. This was something she had never experienced before. Someone cried, “Sophie, we need you to open the door for us,” from the other side of the door.
However, that was harder than they had imagined. The door doorknob was much too high for Sophie to reach.

A Locked Door
Couldn’t reach
Despite her attempts to reach the handle with her toes, she was only able to touch it with her fingertips. “It’s beyond my reach,” Sophie replied. She wasn’t going to give up, though.
She was aware that she needed to let those men in. They could never assist her mother otherwise.

Couldn’t Reach
Finding a solution
Sophie stepped back and looked around the space. She needed to be able to stand on anything. Sophie could see very little, though, because she was still so young. Then she recalled the location of her mother’s pots and pans. Maybe she could reach the doorknob by standing on one of those.

Finding A Solution
Too Heavy
She hurried to the kitchen and flung open every cabinet she could. The pots and pans cabinet was finally opened, but when she attempted to raise a pan, it was just too heavy. Sophie’s little hands lost control of the metal, and she dropped the pan to the ground.

Too Heavy
Something else
She needed to come up with another idea. It was up to her to save the soldiers. Shaking aside her annoyance, Sophie looked for anything else to occupy her time. She desperately looked for something she could stand on as she hurried across the living room. And last, after searching the table while perched on her toes, she discovered something.

Something Else
A black box
The center of the dining table had a little black box. Sophie took out a chair, climbed to the top, and then gingerly made her way down onto the table. As she descended, she shoved the box off the table. The cardboard box had papers and was full of them. So, Sophie could easily bring it to the door.

A Black Box
One more try
However, she was disappointed once again when she placed the box in front of the door, walked on it, and attempted to reach the handle. She remained too little. With a quivering voice, Sophie whispered, “I can’t reach.” She reasoned that there must be something she could utilize. And all of a sudden, she realized it.

One More Try
A chair!
a seat! Naturally, why hadn’t she considered that earlier? In a flash, Sophie returned to the table and snatched up a chair. However, it was far too heavy for her to move. So she began to move the chair in the direction of the door. She approached the door gradually, albeit it took some time.

A Chair!
Stuck
Sophie had a rush of exhilaration. She was getting close. Her efforts wouldn’t go in vain. But something then happened. The chair became stuck after becoming tangled in a rug. The chair started to move once again as Sophie applied a little more force, but this time it wasn’t for the better.

Stuck
Trapped by the chair
Sophie fell when the chair started to tilt. She hit the ground head-first and was unable to turn around in time to observe that the chair was gradually bending in her direction. The chair suddenly collapsed on top of her before she could react. Sophie cried out when the rigid wooden chair imprisoned her to the floor.

Trapped By The Chair
Can’t get up
Fortunately, she was unharmed, but now she was unable to stand. She couldn’t get off the chair because of its weight. She attempted to push the chair up with her back while on her hands and knees, but she was unsuccessful. Sophia? Are you alright? The man enquired of her. Through the door, they could hear Sophie’s cry and the rumbling sounds.

Can’t Get Up
Another way
The following step was known to the police. “Sofia, don’t worry! We’ll be there for you shortly! Through the door, one of the cops screamed, ” However, Sophie couldn’t help but experience fear. If the door was closed, how were the cops going to get into her home? However, she heard something else.

Another Way
Walking down the stairs
The police officers were murmuring outside the door, and she thought she heard a few of them start to descend the stairs. Of fact, that was untrue, but Sophie’s small mind automatically thought they had given up and were going to abandon her. “Please stay with me! She sobbed.

Walking Down The Stairs
A loud bang
“Dear, we’re not going to abandon you! An official answered. “We’re simply heading downstairs to get a few items. Don’t be afraid, and hold on tight! In a few seconds, you’ll hear a big boom,” the voice warned. Sophie listened intently while attempting to maintain her composure.
But she was experiencing chest pain.

A Loud Bang
Rumbling and murmuring
What would the cops do, she pondered. Without her opening the door for them, she was unable to think of a way they could enter. Sophie’s brain was filled with rumbling and mumbling sounds as she struggled to make sense of what they were saying. Okay, Sophie,” a second cop said out of nowhere. “Hold your ears down.”

Rumbling And Murmuring
Covering her ears
Sophie covered her ears with her hands and closed her eyes. She trusted the cops even though she had no idea what would happen next. She inhaled deeply a couple of times, and then all of a sudden the cops were counting down from three to one. How would they proceed? Sophie pondered.
