Make Bricks Appear Brighter
Try some vinegar like this to freshen up your home’s exterior. How’s this for a quick and easy way to clean your brick fireplace? Simply use a wet cloth dipped in a solution of 1 cup white vinegar and 1 gallon (3.7 liters) warm water to wipe the bricks clean. You’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner because the hearth would be so lovely! Any other exposed brick, including brick flooring, can be brightened using the same process.
Remove Wax & Polish Buildup With Vinegar
Use diluted white vinegar to remove any furniture polish or wax that has accumulated on wood furniture or leather tabletops. To remove built-up gloss off wood furniture, soak a cloth in equal parts vinegar and water and squeeze it thoroughly. The polish should then be removed along the direction of the grain. Wipe the surface dry with a gentle towel or cloth. A soft cloth soaked in 1/4 cup vinegar and 1/2 cup water can be used to clean the majority of leather tabletops. Using a clean cloth, absorb any remaining liquid.
