Clean Your Piano Keys
Here’s a quick and easy approach to get rid of dirty fingerprints and spots on your piano keys. Dip a delicate cloth into a solution of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 cups water, squeeze out the excess liquid until there are no drips left, and then wipe each key clean carefully. As you walk, use a second cloth to dry the keys, then leave the keyboard uncovered for 24 hours.
Using Vinegar To Repair Rugs
If your rugs or carpets are looking old and dingy from too much foot activity, brush them with a clean push broom dipped in a solution of 1 cup white vinegar in 1 gallon (3.7 liters) water. You won’t have to rinse the solution off, and your faded threads will brighten. You can prevent mildew from forming on the bottoms of rugs and carpeting by spraying the backs with full-strength white vinegar using a spray bottle.
