Fox News announced on May 28 that Dash had been brought on as a contributor for “cultural analysis and commentary.” On the December 7, 2015 episode of Outnumbered, Dash made the comment that President Barack Obama didn’t “give a s***” about terrorism in relation to his speech on Islamic terrorism from the day before. Due to this remark, the network suspended her for two weeks without pay. For her allegations that the BET Awards deceived black people about news of the Oscars boycott owing to a lack of ethnic diversity and for her wish to end Black History Month, Dash encountered criticism in 2016. During a cameo appearance at the 88th Academy Awards, she reaffirmed her position. In 2020, she and Jeffrey Marty got divorced.
