When he was cast as Sugar Watkins in the film, he was a relatively unknown actor. Prior to this picture, he had only appeared in minor roles in five short films. His career took off after he appeared in Starship Troopers. He went on to star in critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Still Alice and Tar. His most well-known roles, though, were on TV shows including The Good Wife, Law & Order, Bull, and Teen Wolf. He is most well-known for his recurrent role on the television show Breaking Bad.

Patrick Muldoon As Zander Barcalow
Patrick Muldoon portrayed Zander Barcalow, a pilot aboard the Rodger Young when it crashed on Planet P, in Starship Troopers. Because they both have feelings for Carmen, he is Johnny Rico’s archrival. Barcalow battles him tooth and claw for her affections throughout the film. Even though he has a bad reputation because of his relationship with the main character, it was entertaining to watch him meet his end. The Brain Bug made up for everything he did throughout the film in the end.
